TeachMeSki ("we") deeply values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use our platform. By using the platform, you agree to the data processing practices described in this Policy.
Chapter 2: Data Collection
We collect the following data: (1) Information you actively provide during registration and profile setup, such as name, email, and profile photo; (2) Data generated through your use of the platform, such as booking records, transaction history, and review content; (3) Technical data, such as IP address, device information, browser type, and cookies; (4) Transaction records provided by Apple App Store or Google Play when you make in-app purchases (such as purchase time, item, and amount). We do not collect or store your credit card numbers or payment account information; such data is managed by Apple / Google respectively.
Chapter 3: Purpose of Use
We use collected data to: provide and improve platform services; process transactions and payments; send service notifications and system messages; provide customer support; perform security verification and fraud prevention; conduct statistical analysis to optimize user experience; fulfill legal reporting obligations as required.
Chapter 4: Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data in the following circumstances: (1) With third-party service providers necessary for service delivery (e.g., payment processors, cloud service providers); (2) When an instructor uses credits to unlock a student's lesson request, the student's contact information and request details will be disclosed to that instructor. This is a core function of the Platform's information service. Students are deemed to have consented to this disclosure upon submitting their lesson request; (3) As required by law or government authority; (4) When necessary to protect the rights and interests of TeachMeSki, users, or the public.
Chapter 5: Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login state, remember language preferences (teachmeski_locale), analyze traffic, and improve services. You may decline cookies through browser settings, but this may affect the normal operation of some features.
Chapter 6: Data Protection
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including transport encryption (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and regular security audits. However, internet transmission inherently carries risks, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data.
Chapter 7: Cross-Border Data Transfers
You understand and agree that, due to the configuration of global cloud services and the nature of international ski instruction matching, your personal data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country or region. We will ensure that such data transfers comply with applicable privacy regulations and that reasonable security measures are in place.
Chapter 8: Retention Period
We retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfill collection purposes. After account deletion, we will delete your personally identifiable data within 30 days, except for data required by law to be retained (e.g., transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law).
Chapter 9: Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights: to inquire or review, to obtain copies, to supplement or correct, to stop collection/processing/use, and to delete. To exercise these rights, you may use the built-in "Delete Account" feature within the App, or contact support@teachmeski.com for assistance.
Chapter 10: Children's Privacy
This platform does not provide services to minors under 18 and does not intentionally collect personal data from minors. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
Chapter 11: Amendments
We may amend this Privacy Policy periodically. For significant changes, we will notify you in advance via email or platform announcements. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
